ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Tom Rent is retired, single, and lives in Minnesota. These three alone provide a lot of material to base a new humor book series on.
Tom is a funny and creative guy, and has a mind like Gary Larson of FAR SIDE fame. His wit is very sharp, and he loves to coax a laugh from people. Being a bit of an introvert, Tom won't be hitting the Comedy Club circuit but hopes to achieve great fame and extreme wealth through his humor-based projects. These include books, greeting cards, shirts, and perhaps lingerie for seniors.
His first line of books, Comical Captions, captures much about Tom's personality and humor. He does not rely on SHOCK humor, such as ridiculing people or using bathroom themes - simple uses everyday life to inspire his humor.
You will like his books. They are easy reads and bring a smile to your face on every single page. How many books can do that?
Tom has big ambitions and may be a nationally recognized humor author in a few years. He is already being considered to provide daily humor (captioned B&W photos) for magazines and newspapers in the USA. Now is a great chance to get one of his first publications. ABOUT THE BOOKS
Comical Captions came about from growing up in a typical family where the distant relatives served only one main purpose - Humor! We gave up trying to discover who the heck these people were in many of the old family photos, let alone figure out what was the true story behind each photo. It seemed far simpler to just imagine who these people were and to, well, make up a story to go with each photo. It has become a rather entertaining sport!
Inside you will find dozens of typical older-style photos capped off with a witty caption that brings new life to the photo. All the photos are real and were drawn from my personal collection and from those of friends and family. I am continually collecting photos and picking out just the right ones for use in future situations. No racy photos, foul words, immature themes, or inappropriate captions are used in this book. It is safe for you and the kids to enjoy. MAKES A GREAT GIFT!
